Kara Dudas-Bellone

Community Health Marketing Coordinator

Kara Dudas Bellone serves as the Community Health Marketing Coordinator, supporting marketing activities across the Community Health Department. Through her role, she helps share the work, services and impact of the HSC and its programs with the communities they serve.

Kara earned her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss). Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, she moved to Mississippi for college before deciding to start a new adventure after graduation, which brought her to Charleston. She joined the HSC team in July 2026.

Inspired by the HSC’s mission, Kara is passionate about helping ensure people have access to the healthcare they need, regardless of their insurance status. She especially values the HSC’s work to remove barriers to care for underinsured and uninsured members of the community and appreciates the opportunity to use her marketing experience to support that mission.

Passion, honesty and diligence guide Kara’s approach to her work. She believes in doing the best she can in any situation and then trusting the work she has done rather than worrying about what she cannot control.

Outside of work, Kara enjoys spending time with her family and cooking.
