Our Team

Welcome to the Roper St. Francis Health Services Center.

For more than 25 years, our Center has been committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive care throughout the Lowcountry. While our roots are grounded in HIV prevention and treatment, our mission recognizes that good health extends far beyond the exam room.

We believe in caring for the whole person. We think of an individual's needs as an entire pie rather than simply one slice. Medical care is one piece, but housing, mental health, transportation, food security, medication access, dental care, and social support are also essential to achieving better health.

This philosophy guides everything we do—from medical care, prevention, behavioral health, case management, peer support, and housing services to community outreach and our expanding Mobile Health Program. Our goal is not simply to provide services, but to remove barriers, build trust, and meet people where they are.

I am incredibly proud of our team and how our Center continues to evolve. We have expanded into rural communities, achieved strong clinical outcomes, and shared our innovative work nationally and internationally. Yet, our greatest accomplishment remains the difference we make in the lives of the people we serve.

As we look toward the future, we will continue to innovate, strengthen partnerships, and reach those who have historically been left out or left behind.Where someone lives, what they earn, who they love, or the challenges they face should never determine their access to quality healthcare.

I truly believe we are stronger together. Together, we can remove barriers, create healthier communities, and end the HIV epidemic by 2030.
